Model : Making – A show at Contemporary Applied Arts

MODEL : MAKING @ CONTEMPORARY APPLIED ARTS – 6th SEPTEMBER – 11th NOVEMBER

Here’s a quick note to let you know about a show I’m doing which opens next week. Curated by Brian Kennedy this exhibition looks at the increasing use of new technologies by craftsmen and architectural model makers. It’s also an opportunity to celebrate the new home of CAA in Borough and their partnership with the architects Allies + Morrison who have created the new space. I will be showing how I use digital technology and have taken my signature Ikat motif and translated it into fabric and, most recently, ceramic tile. In a collaboration with Johnson Tiles I have created a kaleidoscopic permanent installation in the gallery…. see below!
