Mid Century Frank – Rug of the Day

Following on from yesterday’s post this is the same design but in a brighter colour palate. Apple green contrasts with geranium orange with a sea green circumference. This rug radiates light and colour. This design can be adapted to various colourways, two of which are show below (Mid Century Frank and Green Frank) and can be made in any size. In my research on the original rug this was inspired by (which was discussed in this post)  I came across another carpet design for Lloyd Wright did for the rug manufacturer, Karastan, as part of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin Line project, 1955. This sketch is Tempera on illustration board.

My rugs were photographed by Nicole Rowntree.
