CHROMA IKAT CUSHION – and others…. available at John Lewis

For the first time ever my work is available on the UK high street at the department store John Lewis.

A series of four cushions to celebrate my collaboration with the furniture company Ercol and the opening of the new John Lewis Stratford City store I read in the paper that one million people passed through the doors of the new Westfield Shopping Mall in the first week. I wonder how many of them looked at my cushions?!

‘Chroma’ is a design taken from one of my hand dyed and woven artworks and translated into a very fine digital print on a shiny cotton satin. It vibrates with colour and shimmers way beyond it’s humble cotton origins. A must for any couch or bed…do go online and buy it!

I have also made a design called ‘Basket Ikat’. A slightly retro print that reminds me of a macro basket weave. I friend said it reminded her of the Violet / Yellow dynamic of the Pansy flower. Deep ultramarine violtet next to a saturated intense yellow. This cushion is also printed on the shinny cotton satin.

To finish the set they have produced two cushions made out of ‘ADRAS’ a digital print linen fabric I designed for Christopher Farr CLOTH, one in the Indio colourway and one in the Lemon colourway.  It’s wonderful to see the whole set toegther in the stores…they are available from Kingston, H.W, Cheadle, Oxford St, Peter Jones, Edinburgh, Southampton, Tunbridge Wells and online at Go and See!
