This is an Archive post for THE CHROMATIC LANDSCAPE which took place earlier this year in May at the SAATCHI GALLERY at the show called COLLECT.

LUBNA CHOWDHARY ( is an established ceramic artist who I have known for a number of years and always admired. When we decided to work together it turned out to be a very fruitful collaboration and I loved working with her.  What links our work is a unique and emotive use of colour. In the project space we showed ‘THE CHROMATIC LANDSCAPE’ a series of large scale wall based works along an 8m  wall.  It became a collaborative exploration of the colour spectrum through our own respective media. Lubna quoted before we started, “How do we respectively select, juxtapose and compose with colour to create compositional temperature?”  The answer became clear; in a wonderfully easy way. These artworks came together in a natural and fluid working process, more so than we expected.

These images show some of the work in progress.
